What is StrainInfo?

Using StrainInfo

Searching

When searching for specific strain numbers, species, genera or collections you can always use the simple search box at the top of the page. StrainInfo makes a best effort guess at what you wanted to search for and if successful it will take you straight to the relevant results. Usually if this is not the result you were looking for(say you landed on a species passport but wanted strains) you will be able to click through to more general strain search results.

If these results don't suffice, you can try a more general search using the advanced search functionality which is reachable by clicking the corresponding link in the top navigation bar.

The advanced search functionality allows you to search on some general index data that we have available. The possible queries range from very simple to quite complex. See Advanced search.
