The StainInfo index currently contains 687197 strain numbers in 295569 strains. A list of indexed BRCs can be found here. The database lists 12336260 accession numbers (baterial, archaeal and fungal strains) and contains 137462 publications.
StrainInfo contains 16185 distinct type strains, being type strain for 18707 species. 12475 species (corresponding with 10814 distinct strains) are listed on the List of Prokaryotic Names with Standing in Nomenclature (by Jean Euzéby), whereas 6232 species (5371 strains) are listed in Mycobank.
